Surgical Weight Loss at Winchester Hospital

Overview

Weight loss surgery is an effective tool for achieving a healthier weight as well as improving or reversing type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, fatty liver, joint pain and other conditions.  It has also been shown to decrease the risk of developing many cancers such as endometrial, breast and colon cancer.

Our multi-disciplinary team of highly qualified board-certified bariatric surgeons, medical weight loss physician, nurse practitioner, registered dietitians and mental health professional work closely together to offer a personalized program that works for you.  You and your surgical team will determine which type of surgery is best for you based on your weight loss goals and medical history.

Winchester Hospital’s Bariatric Surgery program offers several types of laparoscopic bariatric surgery, including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, duodenal switch and revisional surgery for gastric bands and previous bariatric surgery.
